I just meant CSI in that there is a different case every week. NCIS, Murder She Wrote, take your pick.

I think in Red Dragon there was only one case that he worked on with Hannibal, prior to that one.

Isn't Hannibal the dude from Valhalla Rising?

He does look similar to One Eye, though it's been a while. I'll have to watch it again.

Or, you know, check imdb. Yep, it's him.

I'm plowing my way through Arrested Development. I'm really enjoying it.

If there are any Canadians on the forum with Netflix: please let me know if the new episodes of Arrested Development will be on it.

I will get Netflix back for Arrested Development (if only for a month, to watch the episodes).

But Canadian Netflix sucks, and may not have the new episodes. So help!

$8 for the new season? That's kind of a decent deal! Wait, how much is Netflix in Canada?

I'm worried that the new AD will suck, or just be unremarkable, which is almost worse.

I loved Futurama and was sad when it got canceled, but by the time they brought it back I didn't really care anymore. The new episodes are still good, and maybe as good as the originals, but I can honestly say that it wouldn't have been any loss if they had never brought it back.

A lot of revived shows make no splash coming back. The pain with Futurama want that it got canceled again, but rather that it yet again failed to find an audience.

Yo, Caedus, we haven't talked about How I Met Your Mother in forever. You still watching?

I'm in the middle of season 2 of Arrested Development. Pretty sure that something that happened several years ago doesn't count as a spoiler, but I'll use tags anyway.

Not sure how I feel about BSG: Blood and Chrome. On one hand, it made me miss the series, but on the other hand, it made miss the series. It had the visuals and dogfights I used to love yet none of its intellectual weight. Even though it was nonsensical, I loved the twist at the end.

If there's anyone in the UK who's seen "The White Queen" miniseries from the BBC, how does it compare to The Tudors, Rome, and Game of Thrones regarding explicit content?

Mom intially told me I could watch The Tudors after she finished watching Season 1, but later told me I couldn't and wouldn't let me watch Rome either. I've heard Game of Thrones is pretty explicit and it's safe to say she won't let me watch it. I'm just wondering how White Queen compares since it's a BBC production, though that probably doesn't mean much.

I just watched the pilot episode and if you're mom wouldn't let you watch The Tudors, I'm not optimistic about her letting you watch The White Queen.

It's too bad you couldn't see The Tudors. That series was excellent in showcasing Henry's spiral into the tyrant he became. However I wouldn't ever use it for historical accuracy. For example, the series had Charles Brandon marrying Henry's sister Margaret who had been queen of Portugal. Brandon married Henry's sister Mary who had been queen of France. I have no idea why the decision to change that was made. It really makes no sense.

You certainly don't have to address this, but I find that your mom restricting what you can watch to be a bit interesting since you are college age. My parents were born in 1910 and 1916 and I was born in 1951. Once I reached 18, they wouldn't have dreamed of restricting what I saw or read. As soon as I was out of high school, I was an adult, and that was that. Idk, maybe it was the times. I do think people my age, while probably less sophisticated and more naive, were more responsible. I had my first job at 11 (paid under the table), and I kept that job all the way through high school while also working a second job (legally paid). And I went to a private, college prep high school. My school was tough. Grade range for an A was 95-100%. I thought the grading in college was a piece of cake after that. When I got accepted into the college nursing program, the range was bump up to 92 - 100%. I still thought that was a walk in the park.
