I saw Iron Man 3 last night!

My wife and I were wanting to see a movie, and I wanted to see that movie some time this weekend. We saw that it was playing that night (at like 9pm) and it was the Empire Extra theatre with reserved seats, and most of the theatre was sitll available. So we got good seats and saw it.

All I will say is that it was really enjoyable. Go and see it, it is good.

Were any of today's free comics good? There are always decent ones but I got lazy today and didn't go for it.

The SW free comic wasn't bad, short and a tad bit out of character "acting" by Vader but good. Judge Dredd was a classic. And Walking Dead (I love the show never read the comics) had a great story about Michonne and her dealing with "when it all started" moments. TMNT was really funny, Brought the wife to double up on the freeness lol so I've still got some reading to do! Anyone els pick up anything?

May the Fourth went uneventfully by, in my household. Revenge of the Fifth, on the other hand, that's a different story ...

This weekend was Ottawa Comic-Con!

I bought about $120.00 worth of material, mostly books, including:
-Avengers Annual #10 (my fave book, from 1981, and I got Chris Claremot to sign it!)
-The six issues of X-Termination, plus the prelude, in a set
-Astonishing X-Men Annual and #51 (the Northstar/Kyle marriage issue)
-Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1 (collecting many of the 1960s Guardians of the Galaxy books).
-the second volume of The Guild comics
-A pair of cufflinks made of twenty-sided dice

I saw great Q&As by Kevin Sorbo, Michael Shanks, LeVar Burton, Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day, Nicholas Brendan, and Billy Dee Williams (the latter was actually quite bad; a lot of one-line answers, and his MC did way too much talking).

I attended a panel about 50 years of Doctor Who, and a panel on how to build life-size, functional Daleks.

I saw a lot of people in costumes.

I saw a lot of scantily clad cosplaying women </pig>

Good times.

It is now totally official I have my Master's Degree! My thesis was approved for publishing on Friday so now all I have to do is wait for them to mail me my diploma! Very Happy

Sorry to all of you that I'd mostly disappeared the past two months, I was super busy making sure all the paper work was in order for graduation (it would've been super embarrassing to have guests come to commencement only to find out that I couldn't take part because I'd forgotten to fill out a single form). Particularly for you guys in the forum's RPGs I promise I'll now be able to be active so we can keep those going!
