It's hard for you decide how the Jedi should do things. They should be there for everyone and that's what they try to do, but in order to do so, they need funding and that means helping one side for money. It makes sense for Jedi to help those who help them ("help me help you" Laughing). I've always thought the Jedi should make their own government and independent system, but where would the money then come? Charge for services? Very tricky.

I won't go into the roles of Sith...if you passed a Sith Tax Code, that just allows them not to follow it for their selfish reasons of wanting and doing what they wish Wink

Ya, that is a tricky thing to try to figure out. If i had to be a jedi though i would probably just live on some planet somewhere and just help people out, etc. Get some job to feed myself and own a small ship with hyperdrive capabilities. Lol, something like that anyways. I have never been really fond of the whole jedi temple order thing.

I mean its cool to read about and everything, but i wouldnt actually like to be in it myself.

I don't think you'd get elected in the Galactic Republic. People generally hate taxes. They start wars over things like that.

Heh...everytime I read about Cal Omas, I would picture him as a Mon Cal. However hard I tried, his name always threw me off!

Anyway, I think the tax is a great idea. How it would go over, though, ah...

Hire Mandalorian enforcers as IRS agents. They'd force everyone to pay their taxes or else.

Ah, those mandalorians, what would we do without them?

Imagine Mirta Gev collecting tax, or better yet Bobba Fett=p...how ironic, Fett probably hates the Jedi even more now if possible.

Now there's a fit punishment for the old barve. Collecting payments for the Jedi tax. LOL!

Maybe that can be the plot of his new novel. Laughing

Boba Fett: Tax Collector
Written by Karen Traviss
Dedicated to the Mando fanatics and the creators of the Jedi Tax Code.

Scene 1: Boba Fett entered the Raltiir Senator's cushy apartment without springing the multitude of alarms. Those feeble defenses were already hacked and deactivated. The poor old Senator never saw it coming, his attention too raptly entrenched in the holodrama playing on his big screen entertainment center.

Fett's cold raspy voice cut through like a knife. "It's time, Denga. Pay up or else."

The Senator's head snapped around and as his eyes saw the intruder, they bulged in fear. "No, no...I swear...I'll pay the tax...I just don't have the credits right now...look...I can get a loan, or win it back at the casinos from the Hutts..."

"That's not going to work this time, Denga." Fett's blaster rose with deadly precision.

The message was clear: you don't double cross the tax man, especially when he's a Mando.
