I enjoyed A Storm of Swords immensely, despite the high body count. I'd made it to season three of the show before I finished the book, so I was prepared for the Red Wedding and honestly, it didn't affect me as much as it seemed to affect other people. Robb and Catelyn were never favorites of mine. As long as Tyrion and Arya are ok, I'm fine with whatever carnage comes along. And man, did I enjoy Joffery's death. Little rat had it coming and his death was appropriately lame. Anyway, onto A Feast for Crows. I'm finding the whole thing extremely....slow? Maybe it's mostly because I have a real lack of interest in the whole Pyke/House Greyjoy situation. Also, Brienne has been wandering pointlessly around the countryside for a good half the book. The only really interesting stuff has been the Cersei material, just because you get to see how her brain works. I would say that Dany's absence also has something to do with it, but I'd kind of soured on her by the end of the previous book
All things die, Anakin Skywalker, even stars burn out.
Those without swords can still die upon them
