I saw The Conjuring. Dear Lord in heaven, why did I see The Conjuring?

As a horror fan I gotta ask...how was it? I mean I get that you didn't like it but was it because it was stupid or was it because it was terrifying?

Well, see...I was sure it was going to be stupid. I was sure I was going mock it the whole way through. And I sort of did. But. The. Danged. Creepy. CLAPPING HANDS. They wanted to eat my soul, I know.

Anyone heard that Warner Bros. is offering Christian Bale $50 million to return as Batman in the Man of Steel sequel?

I had a feeling it was probably fake since Bale has said he's done with Batman, but some people just won't stop spinning claims that he's returning. Speaking of Man of Steel, I hope to rent it when the DVD comes out.

I heard that. He'll never do it.

I don't think so either, and to be honest, I'd like the Dark Knight Trilogy to stand alone, rather than trying to shoehorn it into the DC Filmverse by using Bale's Batman.

^ For sure. It would kill me if they brought Christian Bale's Batman out of retirement. Not only does it completely wreck the ending of TDKR, but Bruce Wayne is simply in no shape to be Batman. He has no cartilage in his knees etc. I love that realism and this movie would destroy it in so many ways. I have faith in Bale that he'll have the integrity to say no (as he has before). And then there's the whole deal with merging Nolan's world with flying people and aliens. Neutral

Watched Transformers for the first time in months. Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon up next. After that I think I'll watch Clash of the Titans(1981) and the remake.

Seeing The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones tomorrow night. My wife loved the books.

I'm told the movie got bad reviews, but I'm thinking that this stems mostly from the glut of teen sci-fi/fantasy/romance movies these days, and that if you like the book then you'll like the movie (but if you're not familiar with the book, then you'll go in assuming it's another Twilight and be forever scarred).

^ Christian Bale will always be Batman in my mind. I'm glad that the ties will be cut with the Dark Knight Trilogy. I wonder if they considered Joseph Gordon Levitt.
