Anyone else think this is kind of an odd time to be releasing a TV show? With the news of the Sequel Trilogy, this show is almost completely off my radar.

Kinda, yeah.

If the show was about Luke & Co, I could understand it. But so far the only priming this show is set to provide is for the visuals and tech of the OT, and even that presumes the ST will follow the same trend.

Though maybe we are just overthinking it. With TCW ended for whatever reason, they need something to keep the brand alive in the public eye up until the movie hits, and beyond.

Most of my fears are laid to rest right there. Tizz averted. I'm actually looking forward to this now, that inquisitor looks cool.

I think the show is more for the kids - when I was at Star Wars Reads Day, there were a lot of kids there who were introduced to Star Wars through The Clone Wars. Rebels will do the same.

Well as long as Star Wars Rebels is on part with Star Wars: The Clone Wars, then I'm okay. I enjoyed TCW (Gascon and all).

I'm actually glad Rebels will be focusing on new characters. One of the problems with TCW imo is that Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme etc. could only go through so much character development, because of where they were headed in RotS.

True, but at the same time, this isn't hitting until Fall 2014 and by then Episode VII won't be far away.

I'm wary on the concept of the Inquisitor. If his job is to ensure the Jedi are truly dead, I fear the show have a bit more Jedi than I want. I'd rather have it be soldiers vs soldiers with spies and bounty hunters tossed in.

The Wookiee Gunner has audio/video of the NYCC Star Wars Rebels panel if anyone is interested.

So, something was pointed out to me about the Inquisitor, and now I can't unsee it, so I will drag the rest of you down with me. Twisted Evil

I immediately thought of Tion Medon:

The Inquisitor looks like a Utapaun to me.

Stretch or no, I don't feel like I can give this character the fair shot I otherwise would, now. It's not like he is an EU Sith. He didn't have to look like that.

Yeah, he is Pau'an, so the resemblance there is more justified.

I think he looks to much like the Son from the Mortis Tril, But it has been a while since I've seen those episodes.

Billy the Puppet + Tion Medon + Son = The Inquisitor.
