I'm hoping Zahn will be allowed to write more novels about her early life, seeing as how we don't really know anything about how she was found, trained, early missions, etc. I liked Allegiance & would love to see more of Mara as the Emperor's Hand.

FatalFist Knight Joined: 06 Sep 2008 Posts: 431 Location: Paksitan-LAhore lol...well u end up wid Talon Karrde=p after the emperor dies=D ________ Ok now i really didnt read the entire 3 parts...but there was a book abt bounty hunters...a Troshodan....and Bobba Fett(The Guy Who Looked after HiM after the Salaac episode and a girl(i suspect was MJ)frm Jabbas palace(she apparently has forgotten evything...So cuz i really didnt read the entire series i dont know....I think If That Was Mara thats the closest we've read abt her relating to her past... _____________ _________________

There's just something about a well-written strong female character in the GFFA that is great... It's a very nice thing. Yes, she's sort of out of the picture... but, Novels can always be set in any era... and she's made appearances from the after-life. Does anyone have a favorite Mara moment they'd like to share? _________________ Proudly portraying "Dead Mara" at a convention near you!!!

Darth Skuldren Moderator Joined: 04 Feb 2008 Posts: 5760 Location: Missouri I think my favorite Mara moment would be when she straightened Anakin Solo out on that one planet. She taught him not to go using the Force for everything, to use his own skills, muscles, and effort to do simple tasks. I really thought that was a nice change for Anakin, it helped him develop into the great character that he became. _________________

I'd have to say the moment that got me laughing was in Betrayal when Mara had to float, mask her IR signature, and manipulate the air to look like a light breeze as she infiltrated Sal-Solos house on Corellia; she was concentrating so hard she hit the wall on the other side and it was just hilarious. _________________ "Changes are nice--but so is continuity!"
