You've all been waiting for it, so here it is...

THE MANDO THREAD!

Okay, this thread will cover all literature and media concerning the Mandalorians, past, present, and future. Compare and contrast the warriors both pre-Traviss and post-Traviss era. Vent your frustration of all things Boba Fett. Or share your Mando love with fellow fanatics.

If you have something to say about Mandos, this is the place for it, so enjoy

Am I the only one dying for pics of the Skirata Clan's new armor? A book cover, a comic, something? A pic of strill?

I will say that I love the Mando's sense of family and pride. There are Mando's and then there is everyone else. Yet they do respect others with solid values.

the odd thing is though that the Mandos could fit todays world very well as a private military company right? they would be needed now too right?

I suppose they could be their own Mercenary unit up for hire...something like the group in The Island. And yeah, I do believe they'd definitely be used at this point in time. Hmm...that's most interesting.

I thought it was interesting how Karen Traviss got pretty well all the information we have about Boba Fett (including Outbid But Never Outgunned and the Boba Fett kid's series (a favorite of mine)) and made him a really 3-Dimensional character.

I have to admit, all the Jango clones are vying for a spot as my favorite character. That's a lot of candidates though! Laughing Although, my favorite "#2" would have to be Beviim; he tells you when you're being a fool, he'll set you straight. Also, he's got your back, and is a freakin' beast in a tussle, with a saber! And to top all that, he isn't after your job! True mandokarla!

Well, for me, my sudden love of Mandos has been largely been influenced lately by Mrs Traviss' work recently. Not to say the KoToR comics haven't helped, but I can't get them regularly enough to read every month. Mad I guess her writing of the culture has really opened another dimension to their impact on the galaxy. Plus she really humanized them, and even if they are somewhat thuggish, they are a breath of fresh air in SW mythos.

I never really liked the Mandos frm the KoToR age---(Their perceptive of a war)
__________
I dont like them much even now--Bevin is cool...and Mirta is sweeeet.(But other than that--they are way to cocky)
_______________
And the fact that they are mercs...sounds cool dusnt it...but its scumbags like these that try to take out lovable characters like Han Solo Evil or Very Mad

Does anyone remember the original Mando's? The Taungs from The Sith War comics? Those were my favorites. They were the closest to the Architect storyline.

Those were the best. The ancient Sith ones. Taungs were awesome.
