A likeable character who fell victim to the Dark Side. A sad downfall. However, as a Dark Lord, he's had an interesting journey in finding his apprentice and trying to make a holocron. I think he's a well balanced Sith Lord and worthy of his historic infamy.

A character I wished could have been a Jedi. So much potential! But as a Sith, he is indeed a likable character. That seems to be a hard thing to accomplish sometimes. And I did think it was quite interesting, almost amusing, with him attempting the holocron over and over again. Smile

Agreed. I think Drew K. gave him a more agreeable, I guess you can say, personality, even as a Sith. Bane's past really shed light on why he did what he did too. I also must say I agree with his thinking towards the Brotherhood; they weren't real Sith, and killing randomly isn't either.

But is the Brotherhood any different form the One Sith? i mean its very nearly the same thing right?

As for Bane he is a very good Sith and as a jedi he would have just been like all the other jedi to fall prey to the dark side...

The One Sith are slightly different from the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood was supposed to be a democracy...well, at least, they were supposed to be sort of equal. The One Sith is a bunch of underlings for Krayt. Its better, but not by much. As to Bane, he's one of the most interesting characters in the EU. Could've made a decent Jedi, but has made a far more interesting Sith. And the whole Sithaari thing? What's that about?

Sith Democracy, I like that Very Happy

Yeah, easiest way to explain it would be to say Kaan had a "supposed" democratic rule, where as Krayt is a dictator.

Unfortunately out of the loop on the Bane novel. With all of the FotJ and Blood Oath stuff I'd forgotten to keep a look out for the new Bane novel. Should be good though. Both the first two were.

It has been pretty hectic lately. I was pretty surprised Bane didn't die in Rule of Two to be honest.

I'm glad he didn't, and I'm glad they acknowledged Freedon Nadd. He was one of my favorite Sith lords and I like that they're delving into the older stuff like that.
