Yup, yup. Against the Chargers. Just out of curiosity...why do they do that? Send two teams across the ocean to play each other? Neutral

I'm not too sure.

First of all, home field advantage dissapears, which doesn't seem right to me. They spend a lot of money on their stadiums, so why not make full use of them?

Also, last year the game was a mess, because the field sucked and it was raining. Football is fun to watch in the rain, but not fair. I feel that way about the Colts Super Bowl. As glad as I am that they won, I wish they had had to compete in good conditions that can display the team's full talent.

I believe the NFL just wants to improve it's market over seas. These games are sell-out, so that means money. Smile I know they plan to do this every year from now on.

I hope this game is broadcast here. They show the teams in your home market, so, as two of my states teams play at the same time, I doubt it will be on. But I do like to watch the Saints with Drew Brees (MVP candidate, I hear) and Bush. But as he's out, the excitement of his big play ability is gone, which makes for a less interesting game.

So the Giants won todays game against the Steelers. I only got to see the first half but I'm nonetheless very happy.

Okay everyone. A quick political update.

On Monday Night Football McCain and Obama will be making their final speeches to the public before election day. Be sure to check that out.

Another interesting thing about this game. For the past 11 elections, this has held true. If the Washington Redskins (who are playing at home during this Monday night game) win their final home game before election day, the party that won the electoral vote the year before will win the election. If they lose, the other party gets the victory. Just something fun to look at. Very Happy

Go Native Americans!

Am I to assume the Redskins lost, or did I read that all wrong?

Yes, Redskins lost. This makes the pattern for the Redskins/Election continue to hold true.

Not to contradict you, OMB, but didn't the Redskins lose in 2004? And Bush won once again. Sooo...excluding that time, then the tradition would hold true all the way back to 1936. But doesn't that mess up the trend? Darn. And it was so weird/cool, too. Smile
