i was just thinking about the story from the game, this is the storyline:
blond haired, small town kid dreams of getting out there as a "sky pirate". he meets a pair of thieves, and after getting tangled with imperial troops, they end up having to rescue the former princess who's state was taken over by the empire. the group works together to bring down the empire.

on top of that, the imperial troops look like steampunk stormtroopers Surprised

anyone else ever played this game? what do you think of it?

Hey, that's not bad, Kamen. It does indeed appear to have many similarities. I've never played Final Fantasy, but it looks fun enough. You play it?

i've just recently gotten back to playing it, and honestly, i can see why it's one of the worlds most popular video games! the story is great, and the graphics put most other PS2 games to shame!

I've played VII and VIII back on playstation. Since then I haven't touched it, though I've been tempted. Big problem is I went the Xbox route. I did play the new a little bit. Didn't much care for the way they redid the combat system though.

never got to play VII, but it's supposedly one of the best RPG games out there...

found another references: there's a pair of soldiers named gibbs and dewges Laughing
hehe, if you don't get it: biggs and wedge!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed this. xD As soon as I fired up the game for the first time and watched the opening sequence I was like '... this reminds me of... Star Wars..?' and then the characters all turned out to be strikingly similar too. Pretty good game, though the gameplay often made me feel like I wasn't even needed.

There's actually a Biggs and Wedge as an ode to SW in some of the other games, I can't remember which though. I thought it was pretty cool. xD
