I may do library on this one. The first one was absolute garbage, the second one was still fairly bad. His behavior is why Star Wars fans should be embarrassed, that angry and defensive and sense of self-importance is a huge blemish on the NuEU. I will check this out at some point but, as of right now, the spoilers just aren't enough for me to willingly give him money.

When I heard that Thrawn was investigating something in the Unknown Regions, I was really hoping it was going to be the Yuuzhan Vong...

Technically Snoke could be a Vong, just a different re-incarnation of them. He is a weird looking alien with disfigurements. Could they be self-inflicted? Could he be part of a warrior race that embraces pain?

No hint of the Vong or Snoke in Aftermath, but there's definitely something going on with the Unknown Regions.

The Vong is way too bold and there's a backlash against it (mostly from people who only read the wookiepedia synopsis instead of reading the actual novels, where things have more room to make sense) so I sincerely doubt we'll see anything resembling a Vong.
