Patton, Star Wars (naturally), The Blues Brothers, Kelly's Heros, The Godfather 1 & 2, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Flags of Our Fathers, Apollo 13, The Right Stuff, The Sting, Iron Man, Indiana Johns, Airplane, Animal House, Strange Brew, Mel Brooks Movies (aka Spaceballs - Blazing Saddles - Robin Hood Men in Tights etc), Iron Giant, Lady and the Tramp

God I can keep going so I'm going to stop now.

Lady and the Tramp? Shocked

Perhaps it wouldn't be so shocking if it wasn't in a list that included the Godfather. Ha! I still need to watch Flags of Our Fathers, I haven't seen that one yet. Nice seeing Kelly's Heroes in there. I'd add The Dirty Dozen for good measure.

I like quite a few movies in different genres. I think I'll start with westerns. Here's my top ten of the top of my head...

The Wild Bunch
3:10 to Yuma (new one cause I've seen the old one with Glen Ford, though he did a good job)
The Unforgiven (Clint Eastwood)
Appaloosa (Kal Skirata and Vigo)
The Searchers (my favorite John Wayne film)
For A Few Dollars More
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Fistful of Dollars (all classics)
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Once Upon A Time In The West (Henry Fonda as the ultimate badguy)

The first three are shows I watched when I was kid, and I think my lasting attachment to them comes from nostalgia of some kind. I still love to watch the reruns when I can catch them. Too bad Nick GAS went off the air. Sad

Anyway, there are probably many more which I've forgotten. But those are the ones coming to mind at the moment!

I remember Legends of the Hidden temple, lol. He he, brings back memories. As for the Ocean movies I liked the first one with Clooney, but I also liked the two incarnations that came before it. There was Ocean's Eleven with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. I thought it was pretty good for a 1960's movie. There was also a movie called Seven Thieves with Rod Steiger (1960 black and white) that was about a team of thieves picking off a casino and is very similar to the Ocean movies, most likely the inspiration for them.

Okay, a confession I have to make. Lady and the Tramp is my all time favorite animated movie. I have soft spot for this movie and, I can mimic the dog howls in the pound especially on the song "He's a Tramp." Not to brag - I have it nailed!!

One more thing, I love Kelly's Heros - one of the best scenes from the movie was by a character played by Don Rickels called Crap Game.

"Hello Hogan (pause) it's Crap Game - I got ya' the scotch and the nylons you wanted. Yeah do I ever fail ya'? You better believe it, never miss. (pause) Listen, I ah, gotta a little fava to ask ya' (longer pause) Will you stop cryin I haven't even asked ya' yet!"

Okay, you need to watch the movie to get that line, rent it when you get a chance.

That is an extremely good movie Kal. Love the dog love story thing. Its funny. Those siamese cats used to creep me out when I was little though.

You like Land Before Time, too? One of my favorite animated movies, and I completely forgot to put it on the list. Hmm...I do hope that's the one you're talking about...

The one with Littlefoot and Petrie the pterodactyl? That's the one I meant. And only the first one. Thirty sequals later the franchise is beyond dead.
