If Jaina becomes the Grandmaster, and Jag becomes the emperor of the Imperial Remnant (or whatever title they want to give their leader), and on top of that they get married, then all of a sudden the galaxy is effectively ruled by a dynasty, husband and wife in this case. It would be very interesting and sure to create tension with whoever is in charge of the GA at the time.

For me, I think it will be Ben and a Skywalker up through Legacy because of how everyone just lets them run things. Even when Kyp disagreed with Luke, you always seemed to submit and go along. Of course, when you revive the Jedi Order and train all the students, it may be hard get the courage to say you'll disagree with your former master.

Luke does listen to his council, but still does whatever he wishes in the end. I assume Ben will take over, eventually, but there may be an intermediate master at the beginning of FotJ (which I'm debating if I'll even read or not).

And for a side note, I don't know if this was brought up or not, but Yoda may have been a Grand Master of the Old Republic Jedi at one time, but I always thought Mace Windu was the current Grand Master in the prequels. I don't know what Wookieepedia says, but somewhere I read this, mainly because of the purple blade being a symbol of the leader (it's a stupid reason, but I can see Yoda stepping down to let the younger generation start to run things).

Never heard that before. I don't think I believe it. Besides Jaina and Siri Tachi also had purple lightsabers.

Bust Jaina wasn't Old Republic, and I don't know about Siri, so..... (plus, Anakin Solo had a purple blade too). If I ever come across it again, I'll be sure to mention it.

I just think it would have been mentioned in the movies.

Not necessarily. Those small details tend to be more in the books, such as the movies never told us about the confusion with Sifo Dyas but the books did. There are moments, though, where Mace tends to give out the final orders while Yoda and the rest of the Council sit quietly in their circle (if only Luke could get his Council to be so quiet if someone else is in Grand Master's place Laughing)

I dont think Yoda or Mace were the Grand MAsters...I dont think there ever was a grand master...cuz when Luke decided to take this decision...even Liea was against him...its an imperialistic move...he expected others to group together and provide him with a united front...I think he just did it to stop the in-fight/quarrels b/w the Jedi MAsters...
____
come to think of it...maybe this is wat the new books are going to talk abt...the thing that threatens the very force?

See, but I think that title was invented by look. Yoda may've been an informal head of the order with Mace, but it seems that the Jedi before Order 66 lived in a different kind of society than what is needed by the new order. The new order is hot-headed and full of Jedi who've had major, major issues with the Dark Side (Kyp), so Luke's total mastership may be needed.

I don't remember that, but if ya find it again I'd like to know. I think I've heard it mentioned, but I could swear it was wookiepedia and even that only after Luke took the title.

If Yoda had been GrandMaster...then that would implicate that a grandmaster was perhaps necessary?...and then Luke wud never hav regretted it coming to this(Him becoming GrandMaster...
