I may get a laugh out of Jar Jar, but I'll probably be shaking my head the whole time. The show may be fun and enjoyable, but it isn't too realistic, even in the fictional universe called Star Wars and the EU. I'll be watching it.

I liked seeing Dooku, Obi-Wan, and Anakin all being tied up together. There was some good dialog between them. Plus Dooku even had a good reason not to kill them, he'd have to drag their bodies Laughing

Now Jar Jar seemed a little too smart in this episode. He spotted the creatures over by the steam geysers and figured out it was safe to jump in. He had intuition that the people coming toward them were hostiles. On top of that he's being played off as comic relief even though he's the one getting the clones killed, like when he was hitting the seat button. In fact he may have been the reason the Senator died as well.

In the end you have the Jedi letting the pirates go. Now I can't remember exactly what happened, but weren't the pirates the ones who shot down the Senator's shuttle? If so, then they killed the Senator. For that reason I'd think the pirates should be taken into custody.

I agree with everything you said. It was too smart of Jar Jar in some areas, and the death of the troopers and the senator were also kind of due to him. As for the pirates, they should have been taken into custody for their actions. I guess the writers just wanted the Jedi to seem like amazingly nice guys. Which okay, when the people you let go didn't just murder a senator and attack a representative.

I almost got the feeling that they wanted to show that Jedi don't always arrest or bring to justice they people they come up against. It was as if the pirates were too little of fish for them to mess with. Like they weren't important enough to waste time on.

It probably wouldn't be too far fetched for them to kill Jar Jar and replace him with a cloned Jar Jar. I mean it's not stretching things too much farther than what they've already done is it? Very Happy

I never finished watching the first season of the Clone Wars, and I recently got inspired to do so. Well I was cruising right along (I even managed to wince through Bombad Jedi) until I got to this episode. Personally, I thought Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Dooku were hilarious trying to escape together. The Weequays were also pretty awesome. But the thing that absolutely killed me was Jar-Jar. First of all, he's a stupid character. As someone else said, he's treated as comic relief, but he's the cause of most deaths. Second, he's ten times stupider than he was even in the movies. Third, and worst of all, that voice! I didn't think it was possible for Jar-Jar to get any worse, but he did. My ears were literally bleeding! Okay, not literally. But it was horrible! My sisters and I were watching it together, and we were visibly cringing whenever he would speak. It got to the point that I was tempted to mute every time he was on screen. Confused

Yea, Ahmed Best didn't voice him in this one like he did in Bombad Jedi.

I was just noticing that, and it looks like this dude voices him again in two more episodes! Agh! Shocked

The part where he gets int the clone pilots chair and the clone says, "Sir, you must leave" and then the clone dies. AAAGH! It makes me die!

This is the last Jar Jar episode in Season 1 and Season 2 is completely free of him.
