All discussion of the second novel can be done here. Remember to keep all spoilers hidden in spoiler tags.

The blurb for this book really didn't reveal anything about Outcast. That drove me nuts, partially cause usually the blurb for the 2nd book in a series has a little about what happened last time. This one doesn't really reveal too much. They're marketing this quite well.

I agree, it's nice not having to worry about spoilers.

I can't wait to read Golden's first SW adventure; if she's like Miller was with WS, she will not disappoint. I'm wondering if she will right away have a strong point, be it Jedi, a character, whatever.

There's one character in that blurb who could well become Golden's "own" character, not having really been used before - and perhaps could also become her strong point.

Released today were the front and back cover to the novel:

I wish that dagger looked more like a vibroblade. I liked the first cover more....... I dont know.... I dont get the Star Wars feel from this one at all.

I don't either Autobon. The only thing that relates for me is the text. The lightsaber even looks odd...

The lightsaber is rather odd...I do like the character, though. I just wish she were on a different background. And is that Luke or Ben? If it's Luke, he's too young and should ditch the mullet. If it's Ben, he looks too much like Luke and should ditch the mullet. Either way, hair's gotta go. Wink

It's Luke, as confirmed by Sue. Now, Luke has had that hair style before. Personally, I like to have covers in my hand to judge, but I really like this one-- more so than Outcast, for sure.

Oh, I realize he's had that hair style before, and much as I didn't really love it to death, it was okay. But don't you think he's a bit too old to pull off such a fashion anymore? Smile

Improvement over the first cover, but Luke looks kind of odd. He's pretty... wide.

I have to say, Luke not only doesn't match the hair style of the Outcast (there could be many reasons for that), he looks more like an older Mark Hamill-- his face especially. More realistic, I suppose.

That's what it is! He looks like an older Mark Hamill. Something had been nagging me about the picture, and that would be it. Now...the longer hair could be because Luke and Ben are in exile? I suppose a haircut wouldn't be top priority. Sooo...I'll allow for that possibility. Smile
