Aush, in what way does your opinion on Plagueis differ from that in the NEC?

The New Essential Chronology says Anakin Skywalker was created by Darth Plagueis since he could create life by influencing minichlorians. However, when Episode I came out, Lucas said he was worried about how Anakin's birth would go over with some fans since it was Christ-like; and the dialogue in Episode I makes it sound just like that. I do believe Plagueis was Sidious's master and he could influence the minichlorians, but he wouldn't travel to Tatooine to create this being. And most Sith seeking power wouldn't create something that could overthrow them (Dooku never taught Grievous everything about a lightsaber just in case). I also think this is the main reason why that book was canceled.

Is it confirmed how Anakin was made?

Hmm...that kinda bugs me. I just kinda assumed that the Force itself created Anakin, not that somebody through the Force created Anakin. That would make him somewhat of a pawn from the beginning, in my opinion. And I rather the idea that he chose his path himself. *shrugs* Dunno.

I always liked to think Plageius created Anakin, but by accident, without truly realizing what he was doing. Otherwise, he would have taken Anakin as his apprentice from his infancy. Hmm, that's an interesting thought . . .

So, looking at the release date for this novel, it's my birthday so it has to be great! According to Drew, he's hard at work writing it and I can't wait to see the finished project. These novels are so great because they are simple but complicated at the same exact time.

I'm so behind the curve when it comes to my Star Wars reading, I loved the first Bane novel, but I haven't even picked up the second one yet. I really need to catch up.

Indeed! According to Drew, he's getting far through Bane 3 and is even kicking around names at this point. All I have to say is: Awesome!

The name for the third novel was announced and it will be going by Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil. What a name!

Dynasty of Evil. I wonder if that means Bane lives on or his teachings will live on with his apprentice...

And with a name like that, I'm thinking Bane will be doing some really awesome stuff with the Force. Perhaps unlocking some more dark secrets and passing them on to his apprentice. Maybe even some hints to the Sith trying to figure out how to create life. Some monster making maybe.

My first assumption hearing about the name was that Zannah will kill Bane and take her own apprentice, who as a Sith acolyte of sorts likely would have helped her to kill Bane, thus cementing the Rule of Two and creating the dynasty of the title.

Beyond that, I am just thinking that Bane is too young to die! Wink

Heh, watching Bane try to put together the holocron was actually pretty funny. I found myself laughing at the humor of it, intentional or not. So perhaps he'll finally get it conquered! Very Happy

I'm betting we'll see some more time jumps in this novel, glimpses of their progress in establishing the Sith's new dynasty of two. So Bane might be an old man when Zannah kills him, if that happens.

Doesn't she have to kill him? Isn't that the Sith thing? And I wonder if we'll see Millenia (I think that's Zannah's apprentice's name) in this book...

Darth Millennial was the apprentice of Darth Cognus.

I'm guessing that Zannah's apprentice will not be Cognus, but a new character, so that there will be another generation at least between them.
