Maybe Amon is telling the truth that he's under the command of the Spirits. I know that viewers won't like it but maybe Aang screwed something up in a serious way. In his own time he had to clean up the mistakes of the past Avatars, with the Kyoshi murder trial thing and obviously Rokou.

^ Could be. I'm not sure how I would feel about that.

I totally agree with you on that one reep. I understand that it's a kids show and so the kids fighting might get appeal there, but it came off as super contrived and unbelievable to me. The humor seems off the mark even for children too.

Other than the ending I am almost feeling sympathetic for Amon. I certainly don't feel bad about what happened to Tarlock.

It was weird hearing Dante Basco as not Zuko.

Upon rewatching, I have to day, while I love Tenzin's two daughter, little Meelo is really getting on my last nerve. I'm genuinely hoping the humor will start being a little more clever.

I think Meelo is hilarious, other than the farting. That joke worked once, maybe. It is not a gag they can use every time he appears.

Yeah, I agree. I don't mind Meelo and he can be funny, but the farting is just too much. Especially considering that this show is targeted towards a more mature audience than the previous show.

@Dog: I didn't think the kids fighting the Chi Blockers was unbelievable... at least for that world. The characters from the original show weren't that much older than Tenzin's oldest daughter (Aang was 12) and they fought plenty of times.

Exactly. Maybe I'm just not remembering, but I don't remember that kind of humor in the original series. Even in Book 1, which was the most childish season. Relatively.

It's not so much the idea of the kids fighting or that they would be good at it. That makes sense. It was the way that it was done. It's kind of hard to describe what I'm thinking of, but part of it is how disproportionate the action is in general. Especially with the main trio, they either seem to easily beat the equalists with no effort in one fight and then they get beaten back and overpowered in the next one.

It also seems like there is some God Mod going on at times with everyone being way more powerful than pretty much anyone was in the first series, and that the Avatar is actually the weakest on an overall scale. That's an interesting idea that could be cool but it doesn't seem to really be intentional or at least shown to have some effect for purpose.

That's actually true. I hadn't thought of that.

Korra still hasn't gone into the Avatar State...

No comments on the finale, or is everyone holding back?

I didn't care for it. No, I'm not going to go on another Avengers rant, I'll give a couple sentence explanation, but I'll wait to hear what other people think first.

I've got to watch it a second time. First reaction was that it was a little underwhelming. But maybe it's just because it wasn't what I expected.
