Apparently, a lot of people dismissed the first one as being too childish, so that's probably why the're making this one darker. As for New Line, I liked LOTR but to me, it lacks the emotion Narnia has (and it's too late now anyway).

I thought that LOTR had more emotion than Narnia, but that's just me. I've only cried in one movie in my life, and that was Return of the King, during the last few scenes. When Narnia can make me do that, I'll agree with you on that point. Smile

I don't know, the end of the night raid has made me cry more than once. Of course, you posted that before May 16th. Wink

This is hilarious! There are a few private NarniaWeb jokes, but you should get most of it as long as you know there was no trace of a Susan/Caspian romance in the book. I watched this in the library and I was almost choking, trying not to laugh out loud. Enjoy:

Laughing Nice one, Reep! I actually thought most of the changes made to Prince Caspian were an improvement, but the whole Susan/Caspian thing? *gag* I can just hear the thinking process at Disney......"Hmmm, well, Susan and Caspian are supposed to be about the same age. And, as we all know, it is throughly impossible for two people of the same age and opposite gender to just be friends. Watch any Disney Channel show," Rolling Eyes

Nice find Reep! I think one of the parts that got me was the rage "The point of the story is 'the myth becoming fact!' not 'the myth becoming my girlfriend!'" That was great. Hitler raging about Narnia to his officers was a priceless setting.

Isn't Dawn Treader going to be released next Christmas? Just wondering. Smile

This should answer your question:
Today (December 10, 2009) I realized there was exactly one year until Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Excited, I ran up to my sister and asked, "Do you know what today is?"
She said, "I don't know. National Nut Day?"
I said, "Very close. It's a year till 'Dawn Treader'!"

Eddie Izzard will not do Reepicheep's voice for Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

He has been replaced by Bill Nighy.

I'm not feeling very good about this, because I really liked how Eddie Izzard did his voice and it will be weird giving him a different voice. I hope Bill Nighy will at least try to sound like the old Reep... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Shocked And my hopes about the quality of Dawn Treader are dashed.

Some NarniaWebbers think he might have been recast by Bill Nighy, because Reep is a much mor emotional character in Voyage of the Dawn Treader than Prince Caspian, so they might want someone with more depth. I disagree though, I think Eddie Izzard would do it just fine.

*shakes head sadly* If there's one thing I hate in this life, it's when they recast actors for sequels. It's like they think the audience won't notice or something. Confused
