Yes, Aslan sings Narnia into existence. Razz

It's a beautiful scene and one that is oh so easy to mess up. Confused

Somehow, I simply cannot picture that making it onscreen.

And yet its an important moment in the film. Will Walden/Fox choose to sacrifice that moment for the sake of being "politically correct" or whatever? I fear so.

I'm just saying......from a filmmaking standpoint.....that would be difficult to film without it coming across as a bit humorous. Just my opinion. Wink

Only if they make it like this:

I think it could work if they make the song sound otherworldly and majestic. Like Enya.

True. It's just one of those things that could be easily botched by a hack director. *ahemAptedcough* Wink

Very easily. They'd have to tread carefully. Neutral

Always assuming they make The Magician's Nephew.

Anyone who has seen the BBC versions has to see this. Laughing Skip to 1:06 though, the rest isn't really funny.

There has been an update on the Narnia film series. As it stands Walden Media does not own the rights to Narnia. The C. S. Lewis Estate (bless 'em) have to wait a period of time and then they can give out the rights again (but not necessarily to Walden). Because of this, the Estate has full control over the movies. At least until (and if) they sell the rights.

To be honest, this is the best news I could ask for. I want there to be more movies, I really do, but I do not want another VDT. I would rather the movies just stopped.

Mixed feelings about this news. On one hand, I'm glad there won't be any more films with Walden, because, let's face it, PC and VDT strayed so far from the books. My only serious issue with PC was Peter's character, but VDT was a mess. I did like it and will keep the DVD, but it was not at all what I thought it would be.

On the other hand, I'm upset that we'll have to wait several more years for any new films. I had hoped to see all 7 made by the end of the decade, but it won't happen now. *sigh*

No, keep LWW and PC. Redo VDT.

I wouldn't mind a reboot, but at the same time I would like to see the other books made into movies.
