That would be cool. I would protest if they put a CG Yoda in the OT though.

I would do more than protest if they did that. I would weep for weeks and weeks. Just thinking about it makes me cringe.

Same. So far, the only evidence to the digital Yoda that I've seen is the digital Yoda in the RotS special feature. I'd be for it because that TPM puppet is creepy!

I've also heard rumors that they are adding Qui-Gon to the end of RotS.

Yeah, TPM Yoda is pretty bad. I'd be okay with any replacement for that.

Adding Qui-Gon would be cool. There was speculation that they had Liam Neeson film that scene while he was working on The Clone Wars, but I don't think there's anything factual to back that up. Not a bad idea though.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything concrete. I don't know how well backed it is anyway as I recall there were rumors the Liam recorded dialog cut from RotS too,

I'm still deeply confused as to how a puppet made in 1999 looked so much worse than a puppet made in 1980.

See at this point in my Fandom- I'd not be surprised if GL made changes, and I'd probably be mixed on it- both happy and slightly annoyed- I think only annoyed for possible continuity snafus. Beyond that I'd be ok with it.

I've not heard anything from an official source denoting Qui Gon will show up in ROTJ, but I have heard a lot of fan speculation. Maybe it's just something that's been hyped up over nothing?

For me, it wouldn't really make much sense to include him.

Yeah, I wouldn't like Qui-Gon in ROTJ, for several reasons. The first that comes to mind is how Obi-Wan had to "continue on" not long after he passed. Qui-Gon should have had to do that too, 40+ years later.

In the Last of the Jedi books, Qui Gon is there on Tatooine speaking to Obi-Wan.

I think they both speaks in Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader and in Life and Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi, but I'm not sure about the last one.

Qui-Gon speaks with Yoda in Dark Rendezvous.

I wasn't saying Qui-Gon couldn't speak with people for a while after he died, but it just seems odd to me that he would still be around at the end of Return of the Jedi. But, that's just based on how the EU has handled the ghosts. George could do differently, of course.

I agree with you, Ben. I think having Qui Gon hang around for 40+ years isn't realistic given Obi-Wan's telling Luke it was time for him to move on which wasn't that long after ROTJ.
