Ah, yes. I forgot about this little spoiler thingy! Hello! Now I don't have to speak in code! Yes, humans are supposed to be descendants of the Forerunners, although to my knowledge there hasn't been an explanation as to how that was possible yet, although VileZero may know, since it sounds as if he's seen the cartoons and read the comics. I know you haven't got a 360, but are you familiar with Halo 3? Because there's a line where Guilty Spark turns to the Master Chief and says 'you are Forerunner.' Personally, I've always assumed that some Forerunners went to earth and hid in a construct like the one in Ghosts Of Onyx. I think it's a safe bet that an explanation will feature in the last book off that trilogy[spoiler].

Since I don't have a 360, I gave in and educated myself on the whole storyline a few months ago. Watched all the cutscenes and read all the information. And it was that line that caused me to come to the conclusion that humans are Forerunners. But I suppose maybe it wasn't supposed to be that blatant, and I just read too much into it. I guess this trilogy will tell us? I hope so, at least.

Good! I'm glad you did! But I think it was supposed to be blatant, since, at the time, it was the culmination of that franchise and that was supposed to be the 'Haha!' moment of, not just the game, but the series. So I don't think it was a double bluff, merely confirmation of what the books were hinting at. Speaking of which, I must ask, how much do you know of the end? I only ask because there's a cutscene after the Legendary end credits, and a lot of people don't bother to watch it.

I did indeed watch the cutscene after the Legnedary ending. And I'm excited! Gave me hope for the future of the series, or at least hope for future novels.

343 Industries was set up by MS to keep the franchise going, and they're hoping for a few more games, I think something like 1 a year but I can't be sure if I'm quoting them correctly. But they have had a few years to work on something, so we may see at the very least one game in 2011
