Hi, I'm a new member to this site, and a refugee from the now-almost-out-of-business Star Wars Forums.

I used to be know as TorrentCommander, but decided to change it since I am now lost in the void and looking for a new home to put down roots. I've been lurking for a few days, and recognise some of the usernames here, so I'm very glad I plucked up the courage to finally come out of my carbonit-cassing and start posting.

It was, until I made, like 10 holes in the ceiling. Razz

If it were a hotel, it'd be one of those questionable ones your parents told you to stay away from. Wink

Greetings, Consular!

Yes, and one word: Minibar.

It's no wonder we keep on stealing Mara's stash!

Wow! Welcome! I remember you. Torrent was one of the up-and-comers, who had a special interest in TCW.
Torrent (I guess I better get used to calling you Consular now!), you may not remember me, for I only occasionally posted in the TV forums. Anyway, I'm glad you made the journey. I read your post and know how much TOS meant to you. It meant a lot to me, too. But, thankfully, this place is fantastic too! We've a few TCW fans - and a few that aren't - but our discourse is only ever polite and respectful, and above all friendly! I'm sure you'll love it here!

A hotel, uh? I like the sounds of that..so does this mean I don't have to cook another meal, do the laundry or pick up after myself ever again? YES!! Laughing

Thanks for a most excellent welcome, Old Master Ben and VileZero Very Happy

Greetings, Queen Padmè, it's a pleasure to meet you.
And thank for adding the little dancing wookie - I'm still finding my way around the site and didn't notice that there were more emoticons available until I saw the wookie! Thanks again Smile

Thanks for the warm welcome, Life Is The Path. And of course I remember you! I'm just glad you remember me and I am very glad I have found so many people I do know on this site.
Thanks for reading my post, and for understanding how I feel...that post was just one of those things I had to say (or type, as the case may be) and get off my chest or it would just bug me for a very long time - and what bugs me still, is that no one is giving us a straight answer...okay, sorry, I love that site and I'm venting again. Not a very fair thing to do to my new home. Apologies.

I'm glad there are other TCW fans on this site too, and I'm sure I can try to "motivate" Very Happy some more to love the show as well. My other Star Wars interests include: PT, OT, and I'm getting seriously into the EU as well! And I know I'm going to love it here !!

There for a while I was trying to get the EU Fans to see TCW as a part of the EU, but alas I was wrong. They will have to just enjoy it as a part of the Saga Wink

As for TOS Forums- many of us are still wanting to know the "real reason" behind the closure. At present many feel the recent divides among fans was the cause- (which I do not believe)

Hmmm, enjoy TCW as part of the Saga...and the EU? Why not? Do they require some more "motivation", My Master?

But jokes aside, I completely agree with you, divides amoung fans is hardly a reason to close the forum. As for some of the other reasons I can quickly remember, I don't believe any of them either: financial concerns (whatever! This is LucasOnline we are talking about for goodness sake, not some start-up little company in the Dunesea on Tatooine), and the inappropriate posts/threads reason (not happening either, we had great mods and these things can be deleted from the forum if they are outside the Terms of Use). None of it makes any sense to me.
