Life needs to update his avatar now that they made an action figure of him. Cool

Haha. I'll be playing around in my Picasa photo editor tomorrow, so I'll fix something up. But they do look rather splendid! I wish those were mass made because I'd buy those in a heartbeat. Nice find!

I took the A New Hope Special Edition Jabba the Hutt and made him blue! I like the way it turned out.

Is that a EU character, I'm not very familiar with Hutts, or did you just do a true custom? The paint looks awesome, how did you do the speckled effect?

I just took the basic Jabba the Hutt, the one they made for the special effects Jabba in A New Hope (you twist his head and his tail moves, that one).

All I did was paint him. I started with a light blue for the front, a dark blue for the back, and then worked in the edging where the colors would merge. I tried a couple different paintbrushes for creating the polkadots on his back. I just used the same light blue as the front.

The mouth got a little tricky. I tried to use a dark purple, but when applied to the light blue it turned out black. At first I had a lot in order to put emphasis on his lips, but it looked silly so I toned it down. I also put in some red for his tongue.
