Anyone participate? Had a pretty good last 24 hours, got some fun nonsense. Also two good 6 inch Black Series figures.

I bought a couple items on Amazon, but I didn't even bother with the TFA merchandise. I dunno, just wasn't feeling it.

I get that. A lot of the merch wasn't impressive.

I thought about participating, but then I realized that it would be a huge hassle for me to get money out of my bank account, as it is linked to my father's account and he was working until after the bank closed.

People have been blowing up my facebook feed about it, so it was kind of like I was there. Nothing really of interest though. I did see some cool stuff from Japan, but I imagine it's crazy expensive and they aren't selling it at the grocery store down the street.

My family went into town today, so I went and bought a lightsaber and a Kylo Ren poster for a day-late Force Friday. And it only cost me $20. Not bad.

Nope. I'm steering clear of TFA merch as much as I possibly can. I still don't know what Rey and Finn's last names are, what Supreme Leader Snoke is all about, who Domhnall Gleeson is playing, what the Big 3 have been up to etc. and I plan to keep it that way.

I didn't know this was a thing. But by coincidence I was in Chapters and bought Star Wars: Aftermath at 40% off.

Nobody told me that they are making SW mash ups, the toys with the interchangeable limbs. I might have to pick some of those up, especially if they are compatible with the Marvel line.

Let me know if they are, I might pick some up as well. Could wind up a weird weekend next time I go shop.

I have to admit this Captain Phasma POP! looks amazing. It will be added to the collection:

I wasn't about to do the midnight madness, but I knew I'd have to stop at some stores afterwork. Having looked at some of the pictures of early released stuff, I wasn't sure if there was anything I wanted.

Well, I went to a bunch of Targets and Walmarts after work on Friday (went to several Walgreens but then gave up on them cause none of them had anything). Also stopped by Toys R Us, JC Penny, Barnes & Noble and V-Stock. Everybody had something different and I got a little here and a little there.

Here's what I wound up with.

I thought it was a lot of fun. I listened to Star Wars podcasts while I was driving around and took lots of pictures. The 6 inch series is my focus (especially with the only 3-3/4" figs being 5 points of articulation), but Disney's Elite Series figures are really nice. They're not 6" scale, though, more like 7". And they're diecast (and really heavy) but still articulated.

I have never done the action figure/model thing very much, I have some larger Lego sets but nothing on the figure side........ Until I saw a lonesome 6" black series Kylo Ren sitting on the shelf at my local comic shop. This thing is awesome! I don't have any cool pose pictures yet (skuls has us covered in that department!!) It was the only figure they had, so I asked and they told me that no small chain anywhere was aloud to participate in force Friday merchandise sales! They went to Walmart at midnight and had to buy their stock there! Damn SW you crazy!
