I have no idea which section of the board to post this on, it's off-topic though so I'm putting it here. Apologies in advance.

this is just cool, I thought I'd share this: http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2009/11/16/han-solo-carbonite-desk/

Yes, isn't that just the most awesome thing you have ever seen?

Now unless I'm remembering the story wrong, that was designed and custom-ordered by the lead singer of Casting Crowns. For those of you who listen to Christian Contemporary music, you'll know who that is. He's a total Star Wars fanatic, and he had the money to have this made. To my knowledge, there are now two in existence. Or there were at the time of the video I watched. The Casting Crowns dude was auctioning his off or giving it away to somebody special...he was letting it go, anyway. And to sum it all up...I'm just jealous. Sad

If there's two in existence, it's a safe bet that one is owned by Steve Sansweet.

Just imagine seeing that in your boss's office. Now, if you ever put a foot out of line, your boss'll just point to his desk and say, 'that's what happened to the last person who stole my sandwich!'

Know what I'd like? Real Mandalorian armour. Not the cheap costume kind either, but with real beskar. Cool I could walk down dark alleys to my hearts content with one of those babies.

We don't have beskar, but you could try something like titanium or some fancy alloy.

Don't give me any ideas, guys. Or I'll begin to make things like those you mention to sell them.

Well the closest you could get to beskar would be some kevlar or that dragon armor. Maybe that bear-proof suit that inventor made.
