With the cover of Star Wars: Red Harvest being released today (http://www.eucantina.net/archives/8849) and the book coming out in December, it seems time to start a discussion topic for the prequel to Death Troopers. What do you think of the cover? Note that this book will be set in The Old Republic, while Death Troopers was set shortly before ANH.

I see they've abandoned any subtle imagery for the cover and just gone right to the gore. Lovely.

I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to buy that book unless I hide it under my bed. Confused

Wrap it in the covers of some other book. Wink

It's a good cover, I really like it myself. Very Happy

Yea, I like the cover, too. But I would have a hard time getting it past my mom...

You guys really think this is worse than the decapitated trooper head? Confused

Yes, really. That was a faceless Stormtrooper helmet. It was pretty cool, but in no way...like this. You see, to my dad (and my mom), this looks almost Satanic. Cause it almost wants to give me that impression. I'm not saying it is, by any means. It's just the look of it. The eyes, the dripping blood, the teeth. Confused

I dunno. This one is a lot less gory than Death Troopers, I think. There's just a little blood on his chin, and his "drool" might have blood in it. There was splotches of blood everywhere on the Death Troopers cover, though.

I dunno...it's just hard to explain. There's just something different about this one, and I really think that it's the eyes and the teeth, mainly. Makes it more human, so more scary. The Stormtrooper helmet was less creepy because it was faceless. Like a zombie droid almost. Not as scary as a zombie person. Unless we start talking about a zombie 3PO, of course. Something along the lines of Chucky. Now that could make me pull the covers over my head. Wink

Tell her not to judge a book by its cover? Either that, or just take the cover off. Wink

I for one thing love the zombie Sith on the cover, its actually really captivating to me. It took what Death Troopers had and takes it to the next level, which is what the book is supposed to do. Very fitting I think, I'm placing a preorder as soon as possible.

I agree with Mara. This cover is just more disturbing to me than the Deathtroopers one. I guess because the Sith looks....possessed, I guess. Confused
