Is Luke going to have a significant part in it?

I would be mixed about this. I love Luke so I wouldn't mind at all having him in a major role. On the other hand, I thought it was neat that Crosscurrent could grip me as well as it did without any pre-established characters (aside from Jaden but I don't play video games so he was new to me).

Luke was mentioned in one of the Riptide excerpts released by Star Wars Books on Facebook but I don't have the book so I can't really say...

Hmm. A spoiler tag. Should someone who hasn't read the book, look at it?

There's a pretty awesome fight scene in the book (mind you, this has nothing to do with Luke). It was a real grueling match up. I haven't read a good fight scene like that since I read House to House which was a war memoir of Iraq. Was very nicely done.

@Reep: it just says what page Luke appears on. Not very spoilerish. I haven't finished the book either, but so far Luke just had a very small part early in the book.

I always use spoiler tag to answer when a lot of people don't have the book. Maybe some people don't want to know how much Luke is in the book. So...

But I assure you, it only answer your question... to the point I'm right now, of course.

Just in case anyone is interested, there are now two multiple page excerpts of Riptide available for those who can't wait.

Suvudu posted a 4 page excerpt.

And Paul S. Kemp posted a 6 page excerpt.

I'm spoiler chaste until the book comes out. I want to be completely hit over the head with awesome-ness.

Finished reading it. I liked it Very Happy

On par with Crosscurrent, and possibly a bit better.

I still have around 50 pages to read. I like it, but some things don't like a bit.

Ok, I just finished. I have to say the end is great. But does this mean will have another novel with Jaden? Or will we see him in the series after FotJ?
