Glad you like! I can't wait to get it all set back up again. It's so sad to think of it all stuffed under the bed and in the storage unit. *sniff* Sad

I just got to build the new Clone Wars Republic Gunship for someone I know (I build, he plays) and I have to say that I enjoyed it immensly. I owned the old one a long, long time ago (only to have it be destroyed while I was away) and I love the new one.

It's much more faithful to the design (thicker tubes for the gunships engines) and a couple of cool compartments. The large stickers for the front are amazing and a beautfil design that adds a lot to the idea that this is a "gunship" and not some puny weakling.

That being said, my one complaint is that it has stickers. If there is one thing I wish LEGO had never done, it is the introduction of stickers.

Maybe it's just me but I like my models to look nice and neat so when I have to try and perfectly center a sticker (and inevitable fail) it always gets to me. Rolling Eyes

Anyway, good, sturdy model although it is a tad expensive.

I know exactly what you mean! They're so annoying. And me and my perfectionist self trying to get the sticker to look just right...grrr...Evil or Very Mad

At least I'm not alone! Cool

Despite that, it truly is a wonderful model. Fairly faithful to the movie design and it incorporates a number of the new guns and designs (love the new clone trooper design).

Oh, good. Well I've been looking at that one and debating...so that may just have confirmed my decision. Put it on the Christmas list! Very Happy

Here're more pictures I dug up of the Star Wars memorabilia spread around my old room:

Forgot I had these!

Many of my Lego sets are taken apart. If you'd like, I can show some of the stuff I've built without any form of instruction.

Now that right there is the awesomest Lego statue I have ever seen. But then of course I'm partial. Very Happy

Threepio clearly has a grey/silver leg.

And Mara, I respectfully disagree. This is definitely the best Lego statue/thing ever:

I still am in awe even when I see it, ever since it was made in 2005. Shocked

Oh, you're right, Joe. Definitely an amazing creation! I saw that earlier today when I was browsing Lego pics. But I meant that I thought Rex (which is who I was referring to, not 3PO) was the coolest Lego statue ever, as in person/droid. Not the coolest Lego creation overall. But yeah. Though I think this one is pretty impressive in it's own right:

I dunno, though...when I compare the two, they both blow me away. I think I may be more inclined to lean toward the first one. That thing is amazing. If only, if only. Smile
