Zayne's coming back!

John Jackson Miller's blog detailing the upcoming series

Set not long after the events of issue 50 of the KOTOR comics, we find Zayne is no longer a Jedi, the Mandalorians are invading, and with his homeworld of Phaeda under threat, Zayne is drafted!

Do you think this is a one off series, or a full return? Remember, if you have any questions for JJM, we do have a VIP thread, just for him.

As you may know, I'm a bit of a fan of Zayne and the Knights of the Old Republic comic series, as well as the games, so I'm rather pleased by this news.

I don't think it's so much a one off series as it is the next arc in the KOTOR series. JJM is going to be writing this as well as Knight Errant, and I know he's doing some short fiction on the side, so he'll be pretty busy.

That said, I think this is pretty cool news. I loved the KOTOR comics and Zayne. I just hope Gryph is still a part of the series.

I'm not following. By 'one off series' I meant in the way 'Legacy - War' was a one off series, which was an arc in the series. What did you mean?

I was thinking one off as in, "this is it." I don't know. Perhaps we need to refine the question. How many issues will War be? KOTOR was 50. Will this be big or a small run?

There, I think that is more clear. Wink

Oooh! I like the sound of this very much. I just re-read the series the other week so this would be welcome to my life.

That's better Very Happy. I'd like this to carry on into multiple arcs, with a good few issues, but it may just be a single arc, with 6 issues.

Okay, I'll be honest, I wasn't really excited...until now.

That's indeed a very good drawing! Certainly made my mouth water. It's funny, though, that Zayne was never much of a fighter, yet they have him in fighting poses, and action sequences, on the covers. I don't particularly mind. I like the cover art pages at the back of the TPBs. Besides, the return of the yellow sabre is cause for much delight and celebration in my house. Granted, mostly - in fact, all - by me, but still.

But will it have Gryph? It should!
