Do you ever get the feeling that amazon is turning into facebook? Now, I'll leave it up to you to decide whether facebook is evil, but I've often wondered whether people just want facebook to be evil, or more evil than it actually is.
I think the same's happening with amazon. According to the article(s), the publishing companies think amazon is evil because they're doing better than them. That's hardly an act of evil, but rather one of making profit. Trying to survive in such a market. But because it's becoming so successful, it's become the top dog in the buying/selling world. Thus, it has become the biggest target. I don't know about you, but I tend to root for the underdogs during sports events, and that's something I have a tendency to do in other aspects, too. Maybe that's what others are doing: making themselves think amazon is evil, just because they're the big company. _________________ I am a Star Wars fan. That doesn't mean that I hate or love Jar Jar. That doesn't mean I hate or love Lucas, or agree or disagree 100% with him. That doesn't mean I prefer the PT over the OT, or vice versa. That doesn't mean I hate the EU, or even love all of it. These are not prerequisites. Being a man is not a prerequisite. Being a geek is not a prerequisite. The only prerequisite is that I love something about Star Wars. I am a Star Wars fan.
