Ya' know, I just thought of something, what happened to the Nagori guarding Leia?? Unless I've been paying too much attention to the RC novels, I can't remember reading anything in the LOTF novels. Did I miss something??? Confused

EDIT: fixed spelling in title of the Noghri

Judicar, thank you for using a spoiler, even though the novel has been out for more than a year now.

I actually always found their species and back story very interesting. With Vader and Leia using them, very differently, and such. I liked the JA level with them too.

I think writers got tired of them tagging along as much as Leia and Han did. I enjoyed them because they were great fighters, particularly with the Yuuzhan Vong, but I'd love to see them again.

What I'd like to see / read is how Vader found them and what he did to win their trust. I also think this would be great story that I'd love to see told.

I think I remember glancing through a comic, where the Nogri wiped out a bunch of clonetroopers, and Anakin somehow settled things down. I could be wrong though..... Confused

I don't know if there's a story about how Vader finds them, but I do know that there's a short story that ends with Vader giving control of the Noghri to Thrawn as a reward for a successful mission. However, I could see Zahn writing something like that in the near future . . . what's he got planned soon?

There was a comic that went into detail with the crisis the Noghri suffered and Anakin or Vader, I can't remember when it was, helps save them and gets their trust. I'm going to say it was a Republic comic but I'm unsure.

I have been reading so much and the EU is so vast, I may have missed that story. I'm trying to pick and choose what to read. Thanks for filling in the gap.

I know how it feels since I was in a very similar position not too many years ago. I came across the story by accident when just catching up with comics so it was a nice surprise and the connections snapped into place. If I ever come across it again at some time, I'll be sure to let you know

Now a Mandalorian Noghri! That would be the epetomy of cool. Extreme combat skills and excellent armor. In fact I like that idea so much it's going into my next story. Awesome!

I've always loved Noghris, except for when they killed Thrawn. Though if anyone was going to take him out, I'm glad it was a Noghri. Like he said, it was so artfully done.

Thrawn knows art. I knew it was coming and it still surprised me! Too bad for Thrawn, though...

I would think even a Mandalorian Yuuzhan Vong would be great but I don't think they are the best of friends.

I read a story not too long ago that made a reference to how Vader won the Noghri's trust, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. I want to say it was in Tales from the Empire. Hmm...perhaps the end of Side Trip.

That was when Vader gave command of them to Thrawn.
