Alrighty, I'm new here and to introduce myself I thought I'd throw out a question; What are your favourite and least favourite book AND comic book covers?

For my least favourite book: Tales of the Bounty Hunters. Really bad cut and paste photoshop with IG-88 stuck on the spine completely covered by the title. It's only redemption may be the quite-cool shot of Bespin on the back cover.

Favourite book: I'm not sure but I'm probably going to go with Tales from Jabba's Palace, really nice, looks painted and quite representative of the stories. And the back cover has a wonderful dusk-time "shot" of the outiside of the Palace.

Favourite comic: Crimson Empire #1 The one where the Imperial Guard (I haven't read it yet, I don't know which one) is leading a load of other guards in front of a burning Imperial Cog. Just so cool.

Least Favourite Comic: Emissiaries to Malastare, again cheap cut and paste into what looks like BF2 Theed Palace, plus I don't really like Windu (sorry Embarassed )

Hello, DannikJeriko, and good choices.

My least favorite book cover is Betrayal. For a 30-something guy going dark, Jacen looks like a 14-yr-old who just got his iphone taken away for a week.

Favorite? Idk, I've got a lot, but I do really like the front and back covers of Cestus Deception.

Favorite comic art right now is the glimpse of Dawn of the Jedi I've seen.

Dark Empire had some awesome cover artwork

I'm not really sure what my favorite novel cover is... the worst is Millennium Falcon. Oh yeah, special mention for worst novel covers go to Betrayal and Revelation.

Awesome.

Edit: I suppose this should suffice for worst comic cover:

I think Crimson Empire and Shadows of Mindor are my current favorites

My least favorite right now is probably Fury (LotF) - looks like screen capture on a bad video game.

I completely agree about Dark Empire, I'm hoping to get the full trilogy for Christmas, even though I'm not a huge fan of Big 3 post Ep VI books, I'd like to know more about

I've never owned a SW comic before and DE seems a good place to start. Wookieepedia has been my main source of info on that subject.

Re: The Marvel comics: Why is Vader green and why do Luke and Ben have red sabers?!

And yes, DotJ looks amazing!

EDIT: I do actually have a SW comic; Star Wars Tales Vol 1

I like the covers for Invasion. Most (if not all) are done by Jo Chen, and she does really cool artsy covers. I also like the ones she did for the Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 8 comics.

Now this is a topic I can sink my teeth into.

For starters, worse book cover nominees include:
Darth Bane: Rule of Two by Jon Van Fleet

The Final Prophecy by Terese Nielsen

The Ruins of Dantooine

Best book cover nominees:
Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor by Dave Seeley

Deceived by Marek Okoń

Revan by ATTIK

I'll agree on your worst covers, although I don't mind the Bane cover but I get why people wouldn't like it. Also, I don't really like any of the NJO book covers, I think it's the little circle with the title and "New Jedi Order" in it. And they all have very sudden picture changes, as in it looks like a of photo or picture, then another next to it; it's not all one photo and if it's more than one they don't really flow into eachother. Never seen that Ruins of Dantooine book, surprised that ever made it past the marketing people!

I think I might disagree on Revan; it could just have something a bit more interesting about it like Decieved has a nice setting in what looks like an abandoned temple, but the Revan book just looks like a picture of Revan.

Having mixed feelings about this next one, but I think it may fall into worst covers;

and this one is even worse:

Another one; Boba Fett: Enemy of the Empire had really good cover art:

Here are some cool covers I like to share with y'all.
Here's some great art from RPG guide covers. Especially for those who don't read them.
