Well the Force does tend to turn characters into Gary Stues...

Luke's one of my favourite characters and I love the Jedi (Force and all), but that was probably Hambly's reasoning.

Reep, Hambly had a basically untrained Leia kill a Force strong Hutt in a lightsaber duel. Trust me, Gary Stu-ing wasn't her issue. Very Happy

I actually think that if Hambly had executed it better the whole "without the Force" thing could have been phenomenal. She didn't pull it off too well, but I think its an honest to god decent idea.

I seem to be one of the few who actually liked Planet of Twilight. I like the Tsills and the repercussions of using the Force on Nom Chorios. With that said, I feel like the story was more of a happy accident because Hambly didn't want to deal with Force users.

Children of the Jedi was just awful imo. I know some fans love the whole Callista thing, but I hated it. The best thing that came out of that was Callista in Conviction.

But neither POT or COTJ felt very Star Wars at all.

I actually loved CotJ. I'm one of the only ones. I thought PoT was ok, but I loved the other one. It felt bad in the first read (and I acknowledge that it is) but I like it. I hated Darksaber though.

Darksaber was the only one of the Callista books that I enjoyed.

The "Callista" trilogy is something is I prefer not to acknowledge exists.

I actually quite liked Planet of Twilight. The other two I'm indifferent on.

It has been ages since I read those books. I remember enjoying Darksaber the most.

The Courtship of Princess Leia was based off of a musical called Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, which was about men who kidnap women, take them to their cabin, and they fall in love. In this case Han kidnaps Leia, and they fall in love.

I...I've seen that musical, I just never made the connection. Holy crap.

I have had the unfortunate disappointment of watching that movie. You've just ruined my absolute favorite Star Wars book. Skuldren...I hate you.
