Decent enough episode, I suppose. Good visuals, Maul was all right. But ... I'm a little bit worried about next week's episode.

Meh, bit underwhelming. Maul looks kinda stupid IMO, would have been better to just give him a 2 legs. Looks like a spider with that lower half.

I liked this episode. I thought the snake guy was cool, and I loved the way they portrayed Maul as a nutcase. I'm really enjoying this angle.

As for his spider body, that's not going to last. The preview for the next episode shows him with just two legs. I'm guessing Savage is going to help him out and get him some better legs.

I didn't watch the episode myself, but I was wondering if you could answer these questions for me: Was Darth Maul's returned over-hyped? What were your expectations going in?

Considering that it's Darth Maul, probably not overhyped. As for expectations, well, I didn't have any and the arc isn't over yet. I'm reserving judgement until it is over.

Witwer's acting was good, but not much happened in this episode.

I liked the episode. Once Opress got into the Maul pit, it got really creepy. Good times.

Spectacular Spectacular Spider-Maul!

I still despise the concept of resurrecting Maul, but I'll say that Witwer did a fantastic job voicing him. Completely underrated actor, in my opinion.

Anybody else catch that it was a reference to Gollum leading victims to Shelob and then eating the leftovers from LotR?

That went straight over my head.

That hasn't been mentioned in any reviews or on any forum yet, and it shocks be because I thought it was as obvious as a goat wearing a monocle and a bowtie trying to get into a fine dining restaurant.

I think it's too early to tell, though my expectations going in were merely that they do something suitably cool to justify his return. I'm starting to worry that this won't be the case. It's possible that the majority of the story will take place in the last episode, and because of that they just might botch it. It is, after all, only a 22 minute episode.

My guess is that they just have Maul attack Obi Wan, who will then redeem him, while making an attempt on whatever mission Savage has planned. If that's the case, then it will be severely underwhelming (but would make an okay episode), as the first three parts (and the Nightsister arc last season) hint at a much more deeper story, including attacks on Dooku, revenge for the Nightsisters, Ventress' story resolution, as well as Savage's. I doubt they'll be able to fit all that in this one episode, so they're probably going to continue this into the next season - and if that's the case, then it will have been sorely over-hyped, in my opinion.
