Hey guys, I know a lot of us have been wanting to get together via the chatbox for a while now, so I was thinking we could have a movie night. We would synch up our movies and watch it together, communicating through the chatbox. We did something similar a few years ago when a bunch of us watched The Phantom Menace during Qui-Gon Jinn Week.

The obvious choice would be a Star Wars movie, but it doesn't have to be.

Thoughts?

I guess Episode 2 would be a good choice, to continue the theme.

I like the idea of Attack of the Clones.

I have this on DVD, so this could work. Would we want to do it for May the 4th be with you?

Sounds fun to me! Although I do apologize in advance for the second-hand embarrassment during the Fireplace Scene. *shudders*

^ It is weird how movies/tv can make you feel that way! I have always thought about that but never put it to words before. I literally cringe sometimes when trying to "show" someone something when I know there is a lame part coming up.

May 4th sounds good to me. I won't be able to do much fun things for the next couple of weeks anyway due to exams/finals. It would be a good way to celebrate summer being here. Very Happy

I'm on US Central Time.

My time zone is Eastern Standard Time (EST), so I'm two hours ahead.

Just one, actually. I'm CST like Skuldren, and EST is only an hour ahead. The US counts up by Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern. One hour each.

Remember though people that we're in Daylight Savings now. I'm not in Eastern Standard Time, I'm in Eastern Daylight Time (and unless you live in Saskatchewan or Arizona, I suspect you're also in some kind of Daylight time.)

Canada has those name time zones in that order, except we also have Atlantic time (one hour further East) and Newfoundland time (an additional 30 minutes East of Atlantic time).

I'd be in for movie night. Attack of the Clones sounds great. I'm not sure if I have anything on May 4, but if I don't, this sounds fun. The Episode I movie night was fun Smile

My question is: did the Attack of the Clones blu-ray add anything time-wise? I don't think it did, but I'd be watching on blu-ray, and I remember when we did TPM our different editions had different lengths (DVD vs. VHS vs. someone was streaming it online; the podrace scenes were different). We would need to confirm.

According to the internet, they're both 142 minutes.
