A great artist has passes away....
May you Rest in Peace Ralph McQuarrie, my thoughts go out to your family.
We as Star Wars fans will never forget how your work helped shape this universe we all love and care about and even made it possible in the first place.
May the Force be with you, always.

Very, very sad news indeed.
Much of Star Wars' popularity owes to its amazing visuals, all designed by the amazingly talented visionary Ralph McQuarrie. It wouldn't have been Star Wars without him.

Very sad.

It was his artwork that made 20th Century Fox take a chance. Hes a legend. My condolences to his family.
