Ok, so most (if not all) of you know that I'm a non-PC conservative Christian. I also happen to be a "geek" (meaning Sci-fi, superhero, SW, Dune, gamer, etc. fan). While I like the Marvel standards (Spiderman, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Hulk, Iron Man, etc.), and like their movies and Netflix shows, I don't really read their comics (i.e. the source material)...well, I did read a few of the 90's X-Men (Colossus, Rogue, and Phoenix being my favs). I've really always favored the DC heroes (Green Lantern (my fav), Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, etc.)
Starting with Arrow on the CW channel, I started watching the DC TV shows. Then Flash, and Supergirl (on CBS), and Legends of Tomorrow. Oh, and even Gotham on Fox. Well, I think it started on Arrow, they had a female character all of the sudden become gay (she was in love with the main character, Green Arrow, before that). But, that wasn't a major part of the show, so I "looked past it" and just fast forwarded through any of those types of scenes. Then they introduced a male character that had a husband, but, again, the character was tertiary and was only a bit/mention in the story. Next came Flash, but they only had a villain here or there that was gay. Supergirl's first season didn't have any of that either. Even Legend's, who brought the gay female character over, only had small bits of that in the show.
So, to me, at that point, the shows were still watchable because I could ignore those small things. However, with Supergirl's second season (which started out awesome by introducing Superman) suddenly changed their whole focus by making Supergirl's Earth sister "become" gay. It was as if the entire focus of the show was to "explore" the gay relationship(s). I stopped watching Supergirl for that reason.
Luckily, the other shows hadn't "gone over the cliff" and I continued to watch always hoping for more DC heroes to be introduced.
But this season seemed to be taking another direction for the shows. I started noticing more "questionable" content in the shows. For example: Legend's introduced a female Muslim character that they named "ISIS". Supposedly, it's supposed to be the Egyptian goddess or whatever named ISIS. But don't they realize that the Egyptians were pagans (worshiping multiple gods) and not Muslim (who are monotheistic)? There was also the anti-gun Arrow episodes. Only in Flash have I not noticed a thinly veiled agenda in the stories.
This past Monday brought the first big crossover event for all 4 shows. It was called Crisis on Earth-X. Since the previous crossover they did last season left out all of the gay and PC/lefty agenda stuff, I was looking forward to seeing Supergirl, Martian Manhunter, and Miss Martian together with Flash, Arrow, Atom, etc. and maybe even get Superman into the mix, or even have them introduce a few more other well known heroes into the shows. Well, unfortunately, that was not to be.
Instead, the writers and producers of those shows decided to go full bore SJW, antifa, anti-conservative, anti-Christian/Bible, pro-homosexual. Not only did they focus on bringing Supergirl's sister together with the lesbian on Legends, but they introduced a new gay character and made his boyfriend one of the villains from Flash. It was clear that they were insinuating that the "Nazi's" from that other Earth were supposed to represent white American conservative men (in real life, as defined by the MSM, antifa and "the left"). There were so many homosexual scenes in the 4 shows that they should have aired on the LOGO channel.
Even Gotham had a storyline where the Penguin thought he was in gay love with the Riddler. And, they had Gordon's girlfriend gay. But, they pretty much dropped the gay thing (perhaps due to ratings?).
I've also been reading several of the DC comics since they launched the "Rebirth" titles. Now, I guess since it seems to be more in the open with the MSM, Wonder Woman is gay (or at least bi) and comes from an island of only apparently gay women. (I just wonder how they were able to procreate?...and, apparently only have female children). In the Action Comics (i.e. Superman) 5 comic lead into the new DC/Watchmen crossover "Doomsday Clock" I noticed a lot of leftist propaganda.
Because of all of this agenda/propaganda pushing, added to them already trying to be "PC" by race and gender swapping, I'm done with DC TV and DC comics. And, as I've mentioned in other SW threads, I'm seeing this happening to SW too. The world is changing. I know it's going to keep going in it's current direction, and I also know how it's going to end. I just have to accept it and find a way to deal with it. I'm just wondering if there will be much left for a conservative Christian in America to enjoy much longer? I'm looking forward to (x + 7) years from now when I know that I'll have PLENTY to enjoy!
