I had to read your first post to figure out what you meant, because my first instinct based on the subject header was "You need other things to enjoy books? I find books enjoyable in their own right." And then was reminded of an 11-year-old I overheard at the movie theatre telling her sister that she preferred the movie because "reading takes two weeks and only uses one sense and makes my head hurt."
Then I read your first post, and saw that you meant "enjoying books MORE."
I'm a fan of a comfy chair and a blanket, with a liquid appropriate for the day and time (coffee, water, juice, pop, or ethanol, as appropriate), a box of tissues (I'm congested about 330/365 days a year), and a cat within reach.
Thankfully, most of my Sunday mornings are exactly like that, with my living room reading chair and ottoman, the soft blanket that has a foot-pocket, a cup of coffee or water, a book or several comic books, and my cat sleeping at my feet. _________________ It was the year of fire… the year of destruction… the year we took back what was ours.
It was the year of rebirth… the year of great sadness… the year of pain… and the year of joy.
It was a new age. It was the end of history. It was the year everything changed.
The year is 2261.
The place: Babylon 5.
