Which Star Wars Would You Remake?

I was pondering this question at work today. What with all of the CG and other forms of animation these days I think it would be interesting to see how the movies would look with all of the most advanced tools applied to them. Or if you want to remake a movie but don't really want to change how it looks, what actors would you want to see instead of who was originally casted? All of the Star Wars movies are applicable. Vote and let us know why!!

As for my choice, I would choose A New Hope because i think that that movie would just be epic with some better graphics.

I also wouldnt mind them remaking Revenge of the Sith because I wasn't too impressed with that one animation-wise. Or even storyline-wise. Just wasnt a good movie in my opinion.

I agree wiv lord ree'dius on this i wouldnt like to c any of the saga redone i would rather they made a new trilogy

It's hypothetical, so I'm going with Episode II. Since it's title Clone Wars, I say make it an excruciating 4 hour epic that goes past the battle on Geonosis and into some of the most important, bloody battles of the war leading up to Episode III, and would take the time to show Obi-Wan and Anakin in battle, side by side, fighting like brothers. It could also show Greivous killing some Jedi to establish why he's so feared and notorious.

I wouldn't even touch the rest of the movie (although I'd love to remove all of Anakin's whining). I'd just add to it.

Episode 1.

Instead of making Anakin a 9 year old kid, which contributes nothing to the movie, I'd make him a Jedi in training already, that way there's more time for everything else in the next two movies.

I and II.

I'd condense TPM and AotC into one movie (and give it a better script!). Then "Episode II" would be much like what Skuldren suggested.

I would re-cut Episode II. Most of the Anakin-Padme scenes could be excised, as well as the C-3PO jokes that the audience is beaten over the head with.

I wouldn't cut the Anakin/Padme scenes, I'd fix them. Their relationship was supposed to be the emotional heart of the prequels.

I think if you excise the Anakin-Padme scenes following their kiss at the lake, then have it go on like normal with them acting normal, then kissing prior to entry to the arena with the elimination of the line "I thought we agreed not to love," the romance works more organically and has a subtlety to it that Lucas as a director is completely terrified of using.

I think removing the scene where Anakin confesses mass murder to Padme would also help, especially since it's another scene where a character is just telling the audience his thought processes rather than allowing the audience to work it out through the funeral scene. And it's kind of redundant with the funeral scene anyway.

I'd get rid of Threepio having a battle droid head in Episode II. Painfully stupid.

Theres no need to apologise fateotjedifreak, i definately wouldnt want the original trilogy touched. I would instead of redoing any of the films already done i'd like episode 7,8 and 9 to b made.

I'd say Episode I. If Lucas really wants it to be the first movie in the saga that everyone watches, it should be... really great? Not super boring?
