The idea of Disney now owning Lucasfilm is really not that big of a deal to me. As others have said, it's the same Lucasfilm, they're just owned by Disney now. What has my head spinning is the news of Episodes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, etc. every two years. I would be scared enough if Lucas had decided to make another trilogy without selling the company.
My main concern is that the new movies will:
a. Chew up the EU continuity and spit it back out, and
b. Continue so long as a cash cow that they will stop being good movies and, if they somehow manage to avoid step a, they will eventually get there if given enough time (Star Trek, anyone?)
