In case anyone hasn't seen it yet, JJ did a little video on set in Abu Dhabi that shows one of the aliens from the movie.

Someone did some research and discovered that it's probably a Cosian.

Hmm. That's very possible.

George's favorite planet is making a comeback... Welcome back to the Saga, Tatooine! Cool

With Abu Dhabi being most likely Tatooine, and rumors of shooting in Iceland and it being Hoth, is JJ just going to use all the old planets?

Please please please do Endor...and Ewoks. Cool

The only reason I can come up with for them to go back to Hoth is for the Rebels/New Republic (or whatever they decide to call them now) to go back there to get the gear/vehicles and such that they left behind when escaping the Empire. Or...someone, or some group, takes up residence there and uses what the Rebels left behind to survive. *shrug*

While I'm sure that Tatooine will be in at least two of the 3 new movies, I'm really hoping that we'll get 1-2 new planets with each new episode.

I wouldn't want Abrams and co. to reuse all of the old planets. There's a large galaxy out there. Because Tatooine is such a Star Wars staple, I wouldn't mind seeing it again. But Hoth? No.

I agree; Tatooine is a given, so there's not much point arguing against that. But Hoth? That doesn't really make much sense. I suppose Luke could be going back, if he needs to reconnect with Obi Wan, or something. But other than that? Meh. Of course, it could be another ice planet.

I went through all of the pics and didn't see a single Jawa. Should I be concerned? Wink

Am I the only one who was not impressed by any of the pictures? Yes, the alien looks great, but beyond that, nothing in it other than the aurebesh lettering (stunned they actually got that right) looked remotely interesting or star-wars-y to me.

Also can't say I'm impressed with the new cast additions either.

If Disney would give me some reason to like this film, I might be willing to see it, but I have yet to see a single thing that remotely replaces the discarded legends.
