POTENTIAL SPOILERS: Supposed plot details for Episode VII leaked out

It's Devin Faraci, so take it with a lump of salt and top it off with a cool glass of ocean water. That being said, it's something to speculate about. I'm not quite sure what I think about it yet, so another post will be made later with my opinion on the situation.

However, that X-wing video is just great! I don't see any lines on the wings indicating s-foils, but apparently they will be there.

Yeah, I saw this rumor earlier, and I think it's a load of bantha poodoo.

You're probably right, but it really wouldn't surprise me if it's true to some extent. It just sounds like something JJ would do, maybe without the whole ridiculous severed hand part.

Please use spoiler tags when talking about this. I didn't click the link for good reason.

Still, I will say this: without any context, that little tidbit is hilarious.

No; not necessarily. I'm thinking along the lines that Ralph's artwork was concepts for the OT. So, it is sort of a pre-cursor to what we saw on screen. In that sense, using it for Rebels would be great because Rebels takes place 5 years before the OT. However, for the ST I would expect that they'd take what we saw in the OT and age/evolve it since it's supposed to be 30 or so years after the OT. I'm hoping that we'll be seeing more "new" concepts in the future.

For whatever reason, I just haven't been real excited about what we've seen so far for Ep.VII. I'm glad to see the returning cast members, and I'm looking forward to see what characters Daisy and Domnu are, but that's about it. I'm hoping that just about all of the rumors that are floating around are just that...rumors.

Except if true something that important to the plot had to come from the story treatment. Written by George "plot convenience" Lucas, not JJ.

I think people are too quick to dismiss this as nonsense because it doesn't sound promising enough. While forgetting just how far GL's fingers are still stuck into this particular pie.

I'm not sure what I think yet. They look so clean and modern. Very sleek looking. Really need to see them in full context before I get to judemental.

I quite like it, though I don't really understand why the visor extends to the mouth. Unless they're employing species that see with their tongue?

The black part in Phase I clone trooper helmets extended to the mouth too. You can clearly see the eye pieces in the first picture. I don't think the whole black part is meant to be see-through, just the eye pieces.

Wait, so someone "leaked" that Episode VII was going to be the plot from Jedi Prince and people actually believed it?

To some degree that at least made sense by giving slightly superior forward vision to the independent lenses of the Stormtrooper helmets. This though looks kinda strange because the visor (if the black is all part of the visor) goes down the side of the cheeks and mouth. As Life said it makes no sense unless the Stormtroopers are using species that have eyes not in the common location of most humanoids.

Title has dropped:

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

My first reaction?

Meh.

TBH, I've found myself less and less excited by the prospect of new Star Wars movies in recent months. I'm finally moving away from the obsession that marked so much of my youth; where I once thought I would be a die hard Star Wars fan forever, its not the case any more. I've dumped my NJO/DN/LOTF books, choosing to end my personal saga with Hand of Thrawn (bar Union, Fool's Bargain, and Survivor's Quest as an extended "epilogue" of sorts) and a bunch of other stuff I will not be purchasing. I'm just ... burned out on the franchise. Not even sure I want to see the new films, and if I do, it would only be because it's got the SW label, which is a pathetic excuse.

Yeah, at first I thought, well that's a dumb title. Then I realized they all have kinda dumb titles. Especially the firsts in the trilogies. Overall I am fine with it. It might make more sense once we know the plot.

My question is, where is "Episode VII"?

Yuck. Dumb title. But you're right, they all have mediocre titles. We are biased! Neutral

Lol, I don't mind the title. Better title than "Attack of the Clones."
