A coworker suggested some options for the remainder of the trilogy:

SW VII: The Force Awakens
SW VIII: The Sith Return
SW IX: Galactic Senate Referendums and the Quest For Universal Healthcare

or

Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens
Star Wars VIII: The Force Hits the Snooze Button
Star Wars IX: The Force Is Late For Work

I don't mind the title. Though, really? It took thirty years for the Force to awaken? Lazy git.

I have no idea what the title means. How can the Force awaken? Was it sleeping before now?

The title does give credibility to the idea that the ST will be more mystical though.

Stupid title, but I am most intrigued by the implications of it. It seems that we may be getting a more mystical trilogy that explores the "netherworlds of the Force". That's a concept George hinted at in the past and I assume put in the treatment. Could this mean more midichlorians?

EDIT: And this is why I love the internet. Someone already made a fan-made opening crawl. Laughing

Honestly, I'd be down for a more mystical trilogy... provided it actually makes some sort of sense.

After the whole Mortis fiasco, I'm a little wary of too much mysticism. Apologies to those who loved the Mortis arc, I still haven't been able to bring myself to like it. The new title in and of itself, though, is fine with me.

I didn't like that fan opening. The idea of there being an "Empire" of ten dudes just hanging around was a pretty dumb idea and if they are going to scrap the EU they should take that with them.

If the Force is going to wake up, I hope Luke is the one who kicks it out of bed. But then there's the rumors that Luke has been in captivity for 30 years, so maybe he's the one who has been asleep.

A teaser trailer for TFA (first time using the new acronym! Very Happy ) is rumoured to be attached to The Hobbit.

^That was one of my guesses. I thought of three movies for it to be attached to - Into the Woods, the next major Disney release; The Hobbit; or if they really wanted to surprise people The Hunger Games tomorrow.

The article talked about it debuting during Agents of SHIELD. I really hope it doesn't. I want the first time I see the teaser to be in a movie theater. Not on my TV, and not on my computer.

The trailer will be playing in front of all films in select theatres this coming weekend.

I have to admit, I'm actually excited about this. I just hope I can find it somewhere on the internet...

Fortunately the Force is CEO of both Jedi Co. and Sith Inc. so it can't get fired for sleeping in on a work day. Wink

I don't really understand Disney's plan here. There are going to be hundreds of crappy cellphone camera recordings of the trailer flooding YouTube within minutes. They released the Avengers 2 trailer very quickly after it was leaked, to make sure people saw the best quality trailer. If they're just going to release the trailer online on Friday, what's the point in this very limited theater release?
