I'm not entirely sure whether I liked this episode or not. The concept was decent, and I liked the visuals, and the variety on show in terms of biological and droid characters. Also, while the jokes, on their own, were rather funny, altogether and with the characters of the pit droid and the colonel (as well as the droid maker) it just seemed a little too much.

I liked it. I laughed through the first half of the episode. Some of it was a little silly, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of the light-hearted now and then. It was a nice change of pace. And I kinda like the whole droids are people too message.

I think it was mainly because I'd come straight off the last few episodes, where Hondo's humour was quite different from that displayed in this episode. The effect was a little jarring.

Coming off the Young Jedi arc, I think it worked well. Light hearted, funny, my only gripe is the missed opportunity of making the little frog guy a Croke.
