Sidious said he wouldn't kill Maul. Could this be a setup to have Maul as the villain for Episode VII?

I would think Maul now has to be disposed of by the time of Order 66 or be a helpless cloning experiment. He certainly would be contained/nullified or zombified(only doing Sidious' bidding and unable to do anything else). I don't see Sidious leaving a dangerous enemy, like Maul around, knowing that Maul knows who Sidious is...[spoiler]

Just when you think Maul is the most evil thing in the galaxy, Sidious shows up to remind you who's the boss, the man that defined evil! He was so fast, made Savage look unpracticed and Maul completely ineffective even at his best. I'm really glad Savage had his moment of light in the end, you could tell it was always there

Great animation, great music, and I loved how they did Palpatine. You can see hints here and there during the duel where you can tell he's enjoying the battle. I'm glad they killed Savage because I think that falls in line with the EU and just fits the storyline better. Satine's death was also poignant.

But now I'm left in bewilderment: what are they going to do with Maul now?

I love how fast the Internet is at making complaints just I have them slapped down in 3 seconds of research, ie everyone crying about Sidious having 2 light sabers, just to be reminded he dropped one out of the window vs. Windu then had another one to fight Yoda moments later. Love skeptics lol
