A Harrison Ford thread was suggested, and here it is! Here we may discuss all things Harrison Ford! His movies, his real life, himself. And we can post pictures all over the place with no penalties! Very Happy

*applauds* Harrison Ford rules. I mean, he played two of the most iconic characters in movie history. How much more awesome can you get?

Yep. But I will go ahead and say it again anyway.

Anyone a fan of Blade Runner? He was really great in that one.

Never seen Blade Runner. I guess I always assumed it was inferior to SW. Smile

@commanderbly

Great film. I loved it, though I'm actually the only one of my crowd that does.

Its definitely not Star Wars - I really liked it. There are a lot of similar movies out there. I will say the effects hold up even today.

Ford and Blade Runner actually got me into the whole dystopian sci-fi thing, though his film is definately still the best of that genre.

Yeah I was too young when I saw to really understand it. I saw the remastered version a few months ago - worth checking out.

Got it for Christmas '07 from a friend. Amazing film. Part of my regular rotation of films for when I'm bored. And yes, I think Ford was an android.

I'd heard about the debate over whether Ford was an android. Was it the type of thing where the director left it up to the viewer to decide?

Well I always thought he left it to the viewer, then I saw a video interview with the director where he laid it out. Personally I agree with Caedus - he was an android. Smile

I saw it when I was little, but I didn't get it, and I don't really remember much about it. I've been dying to see it lately, simply because it's Harrison Ford, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Guess that'll be next on my list. Smile

Blade Runner was okay, I think the dialogue and fighting got really cheesy at the end, though...

I really do like Blade Runner. What comes to the android thing, in the Dick novel he wasn't, in the original version of 1982 he wasn't, in Jeter's sequel novels he isn't, but in the later director's versions it is made pretty clear that Deckard indeed is an android.
