Why didn't they just have a fight to the death for the Twin Sacrifice like we suggested? Could have saved the galaxy a lot of time and misery,". In fact, a lot of the second half of NJO took away from its first half by killing Anakin because many prophecies were left either half fulfilled or done half witted. Like anakin's vision of Tahiri. It was painful to speculate that the vision he had of her in dark armor turned into her being Jacen's apprentice. The sad thing is that all the growth Jacen went through was destroyed by Caedus and then as if that wasn't bad enough that whole storyline was wasted by limiting it to only a 9 book series. Sad face _________________ Perfection is a lifelong pursuit requiring sacrifice. The only way to get it quicker is to sacrifice the most.

Sad face I agree 100%, Caedus. The NJO was epic (even with Anakin's death ) and LotF pretty wiped out most of its meaning. I think the place where I lost faith in them was their inability to fight Lucas for Anakin Solo's life. I also lost respect for him. That really turned things around. Dark Nest didn't help. What a trilogy to come right on the heels of the NJO. I think those books rank as the Worst SW Books Ever. Del Rey's regained some favor with me with FotJ, but I still sigh sadly when I think of of what could have been if Anakin had lived and LotF had been done right. And the first thing I'd say to Lucas if I had the chance is, "An honor to meet you, sir. I love SW and am so grateful that you created it. One question, though. Did you even read any of the books before you ordered the death of Anakin Solo?" _________________ All things die, Anakin Skywalker, even stars burn out. DelRey has not produced one single book (post-NJO, if you want to debate Mindor) that has rocked my world since The Unifying Force. People can say what they want, but so many books in the NJO totally blew me away. And you know what it was? The use of the characters! But so many of them are gone now, or so screwed up that they're useless. Actually, I lied. The Republic Commando books completely knocked my socks off. But Karen Traviss was the author of those books, and she will forever be placed in her own category in my opinion. Apparently she and DelRey didn't get along too well, so I'm going to attribute those bits of genius to her. Meaning the Commando books don't count. DelRey has lost it's touch. Maybe it's the mass releases. So many books so fast, they're just not as special anymore. I don't know. But the only thing I'm looking forward to right now is Imperial Commando.
