What a fantastic cover! And I agree with Reep, what about the wife mumbo-jumbo? But I guess that's what we'll find out in the next issue.

I think that it's pretty clear so far that something isn't right with the wife story.

I think Sana Solo is crazy. Like an obsessive crazy ex-girlfriend. Perhaps they did a con that involved marriage and she took the thing too far. More likely yet, she payed a forger to make marriage documents and plans on kidnapping Han and restraining him in room somewhere on her ship.

Called it. Now isn't the right time to drop a bomb like that. If there ever is a right time. Neutral

See, I wouldn't call it a bomb. And I think it worked well as a weird reveal at the end of the first arc to bring people back in.

And who knows? She could be honest. The story is not yet finished.

We have to stop looking at this through the lens of "we already read stories in this era, and they never mentioned a wife." So I object to your use of "not the right time." It's the perfect time. There's no continuity to tell us otherwise, except that Solo doesn't mention a wife in his two other appearances after this.

Standing alone, I think it was a great way to keep people buying. And really, it's not like they'd create a character called "Sana Solo" in the comics with intent to use her in Episode VII. Even if she is Solo's legal wife, it's not like she'd stick around to Episode V (or even past the next arc or two).

^ Oh yeah, if it's a ruse then now is a fine time to do it. It will get readers buying the next issue. If it was legit, it would be a foolish thing to do, especially now. Making a beloved character cheat on his wife would be a horrible way to get the still-skeptical fandom on board with the new canon.
