I wonder if his baby is born yet.

It will, as MF is placed somewhere in 42-44 ABY. It's a different thing whether the baby appears or is mentioned in the novel.

No, it isn't, which is a pity.

I didn't really like the vibes I was getting from the summary. *shrugs* I dunno, but maybe that's just me being paranoid. Smile

I actually got the exact opposite. To me it seemed like Han/Allana are exploring the MF's history almost as a family vacation sort of thing. I got the sense that at least that part of the book would be very light-hearted, almost like Pre-NJO.

I'm torn myself... On the other hand I want lighthearted adventures, but then I do want Jacen's death to have a permanent and big impact on the lives of his family members. They wanted him to die, and now they should have to face the consequences, to become aware what they have wrought. So, despair, remorse, constant questioning of whether they could have acted differently.

I'd actually like to see a combination of both. Let's drop the dramatic storylines that are steeped in death and drama and return to the light-heartedness while still having characters deal with those events. Perhaps the Solo's are taking this "vacation" to try and distract from their grief/feelings and end up dealing with them anyway.

I think the biggest drama of this book can be in their getting over Jacen/Caedus, not so much in the action. But the summary hints at action . . .

Yes, action can often be just excuse for a book and the real meat of the book can be in the emotional drama the characters go through. I think much depends on who or what this mysterious villain is - is it someoone we know, someone important, or just New Random Villain?

Star Wars guys, not Star Drama. There's always going to be action. Getting over Caedus shouldn't be hard- he was a disliked person at the end of his life and he also was a dark person. Grief and emotions should be there, but it should not be the main storyline.

A pre-NJOE fun story like IF said would be perfect.

I'm sure they can get over the death of Darth Caedus, but losing Jacen might be - I hope will be - another matter...

With all this Fate of the Jedi stuff going on, I almost forgot about this book. I think it will touch darker issues, but not dwell on them. I have one question, hopw could something "threaten" the Force?

Well, Kreia tried it already in KOTOR II... (If Luceno does make KOTOR references, hopefully they are subtle and it doesn't come out like all the characters have spent their free time after Jacen's death by reading about the history of OR during KOTOR... Wink )

I'm looking forward to this book mainly to see where they take the galaxy now that it's been ripped apart and thrown back together again...*cough*sloppily*cough*.

Perhaps things will be 'calm' enough for a time so that we can realize what everybody's thinking and what's really going on. I don't think I ever knew what was really going on other than who was fighting whom. *sigh* It's so confusing! Despite the fact that it's Star Wars and not Star Hugs (as my sister likes to put it), some peace and quiet would be nice for a change so we can all stop and breathe. You know...go home and rethink our lives. Very Happy
